VOLANIAN: a music studio for your PC
=====================================

HOW TO START
1. Right-click the ZIP and choose "Extract All…", and put the folder somewhere you'll keep it
(like Documents). Don't run it from inside the ZIP.
2. Double-click "Volanian.exe". Volanian opens as its own app (no browser needed; it uses WebView2,
which comes with Windows 10 and 11). The microphone just works, with no permission pop-ups.
3. Optional: double-click "Create Desktop Shortcut.vbs" to get a Volanian icon on your desktop.

If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, click "More info" > "Run anyway".
(That appears for any new app that isn't from the Microsoft Store.)
Older way: "Volanian.vbs" opens the same app in an Edge window instead.

YOUR WORK
- Everything autosaves inside your browser on this PC. Nothing is uploaded.
- To share a song: Export (top right) for an MP3/WAV, or Projects > Export for the project file.

WHAT'S INSIDE
Piano roll, drum step sequencer, instruments (piano, synths, 808 with slides, Prism, Zenith, Slicer,
Drum Sampler), effects, mixer, Packs (ready-made kicks, snares, hats, 808s, FX, loops), import your own
kit folders, Mouthpiece (beatbox into the mic = drums, hum = melody), Break Down (turn audio into notes),
custom backgrounds, MP3/WAV export.

YOUTUBE LINKS (optional)
The "YouTube link" button needs Python on your PC (free: python.org, tick "Add to PATH" when installing).
The first time, Volanian downloads its YouTube helper by itself (about 20 MB). Having Node.js installed
(nodejs.org) helps some videos work. Without Python, everything else still works.
Only use audio you're allowed to use.
